One fact about you:

I can cross both of my eyes at the same time, I can cross one at a time, and, believe it or not, I can even make them vibrate!

Tell us about your platform.

My platform is based on telling people in my community the things they can do in their daily lives to reduce their carbon footprint. I explain that they can bring reusable bags to the store, bring reusable straws to all the coffee stands we thrive off of here in Alaska, and how we have 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans and counting.

I do my part by explaining there are simple ways they can contribute to make a huge difference and reduce their carbon footprint!

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

What I'm looking forward to most is meeting with the wonderful delegates and staff! We've all been talking for months leading up to nationals and we're all so close already, I can't wait to finally meet them and share this amazing experience in D.C with them!

One fun fact about you:

One fun fact about me is that my parents have always pushed me to be my best from early on, so much so that I was walking and talking in about 9 months.

Tell us about your platform.

My platform focuses on two things that humans would have difficulty surviving without and that our environment would fail without.

My motto is "Plant the trees, Save the bees." As many people could guess, the trees in our forests, backyards, school courtyards, and businesses actually have a purpose. They provide oxygen for us to breathe, make our air cooler than it normally would be, and multiple other important purposes.

However, if we continue to see deforestation occur and not rebuild it or save it, our lives could change tremendously. The same situation would happen with the bees, if we don’t conserve them, our main source of pollination is gone and our food sources are greatly harmed.

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

I’m most looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting to make memories with them. This is an opportunity that I will remember forever and am so grateful for.

What is something you can’t live without and why?

Something I can’t live without is music. No matter what mood I am in, whether it be mad, stressed, happy, sad, music will always cool me down or put me in an even better mood.

One fun fact about you:

I can cook Minute rice in 58 seconds. (This is a bit of a joke, but I used to meal prep and had to get really good at cooking faster to save time!)

Tell us about your platform or yourself, choose one or both.

Well, my platform and my interests go hand in hand. I am a personal trainer and my platform revolves around food. I advocate for eating locally at sustainably sourced places and supporting your local sustainable farms. I believe in taking care of your body and the Earth and the way you eat is reflective of both.

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

Getting to spend the week with the other girls! We’ve all been talking to each other and following each other for so long now, I want to meet everyone in person!

What is something you can’t live without and why?

My reusable cup and straw. I take it everywhere or leave it in my car because with the amount of iced tea I drink I never know when I will need it. The places I go for my tea give me a discount for bringing my own cup!
