PageantLIVE Red Carpet Highlight: Phoebe Collins, Queen Beauty New Hampshire 2019

My best advice is don’t be afraid to be yourself. I love to see people not to care what others think. Be yourself and be proud to show it!

Phoebe Collins, Queen Beauty New Hampshire 2019, is not only beautiful inside out, but also been paving her way to success - she is diligent and committed. This beauty is a senior at Pinkerton Academy, one of the largest high schools in New England with over 3,000 students. Phoebe shares, "I live in Auburn, a very small town in New Hampshire. I work right down the road at the Auburn Tavern as a hostess and eventually a server after my 18th birthday." We asked what she's like on her free time; she says, "Since I’m running around very busy all the time, I love when I get a few minutes to sit down in the dining room downstairs and spend time with my family. I live with my parents, two brothers, sister-in-law, and our two dogs and four cats, so we have a very full house! I absolutely love my family and really enjoy talking and watching movies with them."

Why should models/delegates choose to compete in Queen Beauty USA?

Queen Beauty is the perfect pageant for aspiring models and actresses, and can be beneficial for everyone! You are provided with so many opportunities to get your name out there and start your career, not to mention there is an AMAZING support system there for you whenever you need them!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I see myself waiting tables in Los Angeles, California and working on my acting career going on auditions and doing work here and there. I also see myself being a graduate of cosmetology school.

How about in ten years?

In ten years, I see myself with stable acting or cosmetology career and starting a family of my own. I would love to be living outside of LA in the more rural areas of California, and preferably near the beach!

If you only have one wish, what is it and why?

My wish would be that there was a cure for pancreatic cancer. It affects so many people and their families and is the 3rd leading cause of death by cancer in the United States. My grandfather suffered from this disease; it acts fast with no known cure nor an easy way to detect it - a cure for this disease would save so many people.

One thing about you that no one else knows?

I actually love listening to classic rock music. I listen to bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zepplin, Credence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers The Eagles, and more! I went to a Poison concert and a Stix/REO Speedwagon concert. I grew up listening to that music, and it reminds me of my childhood, but most people wouldn’t expect me to listen to it now.

Pageants like Queen Beauty help you learn to be confident in the real you, and I am so thankful for pageantry. It shapes so many young women into confident, beautiful leaders. I hope that eventually, everyone in the pageant industry will be proud to say they are pageant girls!

PageantLIVE Red Carpet Highlight: Franchesca Nival, Queen Beauty Massachusetts 2019

Franchesca Nival, Queen Beauty Massachusetts 2019

Francesca is on her senior year at the University of Massachusetts taking a Degree in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and minor in Entrepreneurial Business. This beauty is already advancing her knowledge by applying the practical concept of her studies - as an inside sales manager and the CEO of FTA which is a Talent Academy.

Originally from Lowell, Massachusetts, Francesca currently resides in Merrimack, New Hampshire. On her free time, she likes to hit the gym, playing Volleyball, working on her business ideas, networking, watching funny movies, and spending time with family, friends and loved ones.

Why should models/delegates choose to compete in Queen Beauty USA?

Queen Beauty USA is honestly one of the most well-rounded pageants I’ve been a part of, the team is amazing, and the support is unbelievable. They work really hard to help your dreams come true! If you’re looking to do something different, wanting to get into the modeling or acting industry, then this is the pageant for you.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In the next five years, I see myself living in California, most likely working in the acting industry, expanding my businesses, and having an academy in L.A., as well. Owning a home, and possibly starting a family of my own.

How about in ten years?

In ten years, I still see myself working in the entertainment industry and business. Of course, married and with kids, expanding my business options, and growing in the industry in Hollywood.

If you only have one wish, what is it and why?

I’d love to have the opportunity to be the leading actress in a film or on a TV show within the next year or so. That would be amazing!

One thing about you that no one else knows?

PageantLIVE Red Carpet Highlight: Lynn Priest, Connecticut USA Classic International Woman 2018

Lynn Priest
Hometown: New Milford, Connecticut

Up Close And Personal

Claim to fame

I'm petite, but I pack a punch.  Meaning that when I set my mind to something I accomplish it and make an impact.  I also have a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-Do.

Fun fact about you

I am a fitness model and bikini competitor.

If you have one wish to be granted in 2018, what is it and why?

It is to assist people by helping them get healthy to save their own lives. Exercise and food is medicine. If we don’t “move” or “push” our bodies or eat unhealthy food, then we are at risk for serious health consequences such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and much more.

Life In Pageants

When did you start getting involved in pageants?

I got involved in pageants in 2012. I saw it as a way to spread my passion for health and fitness. I love helping people and teaching them how to be strong. You cannot help others if you are not strong enough to help yourself.

Why did you choose the Classic International Woman system?

I chose the CIW system because I want to show the world that age is just a number and that if you can dream it, you can achieve it. It is an honor to represent the Classic International Woman. I use my years of age as a life experience that I can share with the world.

Tell us about your platform or yourself, choose one or both.

My platform is health and fitness. I work for a medical fitness center. To be more specific, I am a Cancer Exercise Specialist. I get assigned patients once they are finished with their treatments, and I create a workout program to get them strong. I also design workouts and hold workshops for Osteoporosis patients. It is important to teach that body movement is crucial to becoming and staying strong. I teach that by exercising you can improve or prevent heart disease, osteoporosis, cancer, minimize the discomfort of arthritis, decrease insomnia and depression. I also teach proper nutrition. By eating healthy you can prevent diabetes, improve cholesterol levels and reduce body fat.

Passion or interest outside of pageantry

My passion outside of pageantry is being a fitness model and bikini competitor. I’ve done runway and print. I love exercising and competing on stage. I compete against women 20 years younger than I am. I’m showing the world that this is possible.

Beauty And Women Empowerment

Define beauty

Beauty is how you make someone else feel. If you can build someone’s self-esteem, teach them how to be strong and stand up for themselves, make them be happy and smile, then you’ve achieved beauty.

Define women empowerment

Women empowerment is having a dream, staying on your path to achieve that dream, even if you get opposing opinions. Stand strong and hold your ground. Then once you’ve done that you use your achievements to make an impact on someone else.

Most people don't know that I am an actress and model and can do a perfect imitation of Elmo!

I am partnering with The Waterfront Partnership, Healthy Harbor, Blue Water Baltimore, and Baltimore’s City Council to help organize and participate in tree plantings, and harbor and city cleanups. Ashley Smith, Elite Miss West Coast Earth United States 2018

One fun fact about you:

I enjoy Trick Riding on horses! I have a really good and natural connection to horses, which is probably why I feel confident doing stunts on them. I love to creatively express myself on them. My favorite show to watch people do all sorts of stunts and especially Trick Riding is "Cavalia." It's so beautiful, inspiring and spirit lifting - how they tell a story between man and horse!

Tell us about your platform.

My platform is "Freezing Forest Fires," I believe if we can mitigate climate change, we can reduce wildfire risks and reduce carbon emissions; climate change is playing a role in longer, hotter fire seasons, causing larger wildfires.

My advocacy, with the help of social media and public appearance, is to shed light on our environment and Wildland Firefighters. As a former Wildland Firefighter, I know the heavy risk that Wildland Firefighters put their lives through to save the people, homes and our environment.

Unfortunately, there is not enough governmental support in medical and mental health rehabilitation for WFF. Due to PTSD, there is an increasing number of suicides in the WFF community and they need our support, as they protect us and our environment.

What are you looking forward to at Elite Miss Earth United States?

I am really looking forward to meeting the delegates! I really want to be present and just enjoy the process, and all of the fun environmental activities, because I know how fast pageants fly, and the best memories come from experiences, you are most present in.

What is something you can't live without and why?

Well aside from God, I really can't live without my phone. I know it's sad but it's the truth. I literally feel like I am stuck stranded in the middle of nowhere without it. I think this is a reality of a lot of people today. It's sad and kind of funny at the same time.

One fact about you:

I can cross both of my eyes at the same time, I can cross one at a time, and, believe it or not, I can even make them vibrate!

Tell us about your platform.

My platform is based on telling people in my community the things they can do in their daily lives to reduce their carbon footprint. I explain that they can bring reusable bags to the store, bring reusable straws to all the coffee stands we thrive off of here in Alaska, and how we have 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic in our oceans and counting.

I do my part by explaining there are simple ways they can contribute to make a huge difference and reduce their carbon footprint!

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

What I'm looking forward to most is meeting with the wonderful delegates and staff! We've all been talking for months leading up to nationals and we're all so close already, I can't wait to finally meet them and share this amazing experience in D.C with them!

What is something you can't live without?

One fun fact about you:

On my bucket list is to go cage diving with Great White Sharks.

Tell us about your platform.

I am an ecowarrior through and through.

Both my platform and my future career are centered on cleaning up our oceans from plastic pollution.  Every year 16 billion pounds of plastic garbage is dumped into the oceans, which kills marine life, makes fish carcinogenic, and makes people sick. This trash also increases the acidification of the oceans making them less capable of removing carbon from our atmosphere and threatens ocean-based food chains.

I am advocating for the reduction of single-use plastics around the world. I am working to change the way people, companies, and government think about plastic.

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

I look forward to meeting the directors and sponsors to thank them in person. I can't wait to meet the other Beauties for a Cause and make new lifelong friends! I am also excited to finally participate in the various competitions and hopefully, take home the national title!

What is something you can't live without and why?

Amorelle Upton, Teen Miss North Dakota Earth United States 2018

One fun fact about you:

One fun fact about me is that my parents have always pushed me to be my best from early on, so much so that I was walking and talking in about 9 months.

Tell us about your platform.

My platform focuses on two things that humans would have difficulty surviving without and that our environment would fail without.

My motto is "Plant the trees, Save the bees." As many people could guess, the trees in our forests, backyards, school courtyards, and businesses actually have a purpose. They provide oxygen for us to breathe, make our air cooler than it normally would be, and multiple other important purposes.

However, if we continue to see deforestation occur and not rebuild it or save it, our lives could change tremendously. The same situation would happen with the bees, if we don’t conserve them, our main source of pollination is gone and our food sources are greatly harmed.

What are you looking forward to at Teen Miss Earth United States?

I’m most looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting to make memories with them. This is an opportunity that I will remember forever and am so grateful for.

What is something you can’t live without and why?

Something I can’t live without is music. No matter what mood I am in, whether it be mad, stressed, happy, sad, music will always cool me down or put me in an even better mood.

Taylor Burk, Miss Nevada Earth United States 2018

One fun fact about you:

One fun fact about me is that I write in the horror genre.

Tell us about your platform.

As Miss Nevada Earth my platform is H.E.M.P- Helping Educate Misinformed People. Thomas Jefferson stated, "Hemp is the first necessity to the wealth and protection of our country" and I agree.

Hemp is the only plant that can feed us, house us, clothe us, and heal us. It is an immensely profitable crop that could provide a huge boost to the local economy, to the job sector, and to the health of the U.S citizens. After laws farming hemp have recently been lifted, the United States will now have the opportunity to make over 50,000 eco-friendly hemp products that are free from destructive protocol to our planet. Replacing synthetics with hemp alternatives will be the end of a destructive era as hemp can be plastic, paper, clothing, rope made of the most durable fiber on the planet, industrial material to build houses, the protein with the highest omegas, natural healing medication, makeup and even biofuel for hemp cars!

"I don't know if hemp is going to save the world, but it's the only thing that can." -Jack Herer

What are you looking forward to at Miss Earth United States?

I realized that all things ying and yang, pleasure and pain all serve a purpose in a healthy universe and ecosystem. Everything in my life- every insult, wound, struggle, heartbreak, joy, miracle, smile and good vibe ever thought has led and prepared me for this moment.

I am going to be fully present and enjoy it! I look forward to celebrating my personal growth.

What is something you can’t live without and why?

I can not live without books. Books give us the opportunity to plunge deeper into life. It is a gift we can open again and again and always find something new.

One fun fact about you:

I love to bake! Especially cupcakes! Cupcakes to me are like a mini canvas, simple and elegant, and of course so yummy to eat!!

Tell us about your platform.

I actually have 2 platforms.

Before being Miss Minnesota Earth 2018, I shared about the dangers of drinking and driving, and the story of Drake Bigler with his parents' permission of course.

After becoming Miss MN Earth 2018, I partnered with my local Cans for Kids organization to help collect cans to donate to our local recycling center for a donation which goes to community activities such as adult bingo prizes at the nursing home, Easter Eggs hunts, mission trips and fun things like that - locally in our community.

What are you looking forward to at Miss Earth United States?

One fun fact about you:

One fun fact about me is that I know American Sign Language. It's fun to sign because it's like a secret language and it always makes me talk with my hands.

Tell us about your platform.

Platform: "Change the Ocean with 4Ocean"

My platform is 4Ocean, a business where employees from all over the world travel from coastline to coastline and some scuba dive to pick up trash; they then create the recycled material into bracelets.

By purchasing the 4Ocean bracelets, you will remove one pound of trash from ocean and coastlines. The beads on the bracelet are all 100 per cent recycled glass material. And the cord is 100 per cent polyester recycled materials, as well. They have events from around the world that you can find on Facebook to help clean up and join the 4Ocean movement. They also have limited edition bracelets for their monthly causes dedicated to ocean life where they help researchers find ways to save marine life such as sea turtles.

I've been working with them as an influencer, photographer and a blogger to help spread awareness.

What are you looking forward to at Elite Miss Earth United States?

April Maroshick, Miss New York Earth United States 2018

One fun fact about you:

I feel as though I have a mental reference book. I can recite the alphabet backwards, the States in alphabetical order, all of the State capitals, point out every State on a map and just random fun things like that!

Tell us about your platform.

My platform is based around Holistic health. Although I work in internal medicine, I think it’s really important that the patients I work with transition from traditional to alternative medicine.

In my opinion and experience, nothing heals better than the earth's natural resources. Nothing also feels better than feeling in control of your physical and mental health by having alternative medicine at your fingertips.

What are you looking forward to at Miss Earth United States?

Well for starters, Washington D.C. is my favorite American city. I always feel an extra sense of patriotism when exploring there. It’s also a patriotic time of year. I think most importantly though, being able to showcase who I am and what I have to offer the Miss Earth Organization is the most thrilling.

What is something you can’t live without and why?

Aside from the obvious, like God, family, oxygen, and food... I can’t live without books. I have learned most of what I know through reading. Reading is such an incredibly useful source to gain knowledge, perspective and broaden your horizons on just about anything.

To me, the library is the entire world condensed into words on paper right at my fingertips.

What is something you can’t live without and why?

I can't live without coffee! It tastes delicious, keeps me energized, and there's always a history behind the bean and its harvest.

PageantLIVE Red Carpet Highlight: Madison McGee, Miss North Carolina Earth United States 2018

Madison McGee, Miss North Carolina Earth United States 2018

One fun fact about you:

I have played soccer since I was five years old and now I am playing it at a collegiate level.

Tell us about your platform.

My platform is “Plant the seeds, Save the Trees.”

I focus on replenishing the trees in the environment because while trees give us many important resources like paper for books and lumber for homes, it is so important to make sure we put back what we take.

I not only want to plant tree seedlings, but I want to plant seeds of encouragement in people about environmental issues. I hope that those people will then plant seeds of encouragement in people that they meet, and we will have hundreds of new Earth warriors!

What are you looking forward to at Miss Earth United States?

I am looking forward to the evening gown competition at Miss Earth United States because you get to see the personality of each delegate shine through their evening gown selection. Also, I am looking forward to the public speaking portion because I love hearing what other delegates are passionate about.

What is one thing you can’t live without and why?

I can’t live without chocolate ice cream. It is my guilty pleasure and I once ate half a gallon in one sitting!
