Vietta Lowe and Zaylah's Cause: A safe haven for adults with addiction and their children

Vietta lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with her husband of 33 years, Paul Lowe, and granddaughter Zaylah (3). She is a committed mother and wife who loves volunteering at all community organizations and her local church. 

Her platform surrounds addiction which she feels so passionate about and heartfelt in making a difference that she created a non-profit organization called Zaylah’s Cause. The cause helps adults with addiction and provides a united transitional temporary alternative to housing children who have suffered from losing their family or home due to addiction, abuse, or circumstances beyond their control.

She also owns and operates her own construction company, EaZy Construction Inc. In addition to being a committed wife, mother, and grandmother, Vietta holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University.

Why did you get involved in pageantry?

My son was affected by addiction and while he tried to obtain help we could not obtain it for him. During this time, my granddaughter was given to an aunt who did not even know her. It took me 6-7 months to find her and bring her home. Raising awareness on Addiction while helping children, this is most important to me.
