PageantLIVE Red Carpet Highlight: Brooke Packard, Queen Beauty District of Columbia 2019

Brooke Packard, Queen Beauty District of Columbia 2019 is not only beauty and brains but she is an empowered young woman.

She describes herself as bi-coastal gal because grew up between California and Virginia; she was born in San Diego, California and moved to Virginia when she was still a baby.

Brooke graduated high school with a D1 volleyball scholarship and was the first volleyball player at Woodgrove High School to receive and commit to a full ride scholarship. It's definitely for the books! Her time management is something we can learn from, she juggles her studies and modeling career like a pro - she's currently pursuing Design Management major in Entrepreneur and minor in Marketing at Radford University while traveling back and forth with her modeling career.

Adding to her awesome resume, Brooke was crowned Queen Beauty DC on February 9, 2019, at the NYFW Fashion Takeover with the theme, "Taking Over with Inclusivity and Diversity" where America's Next Top Model Cycle 24, second runner-up Khrystyana Kazakova conducted a model workshop.

Modeling Career

Brooke has been modeling for 3 years.  At such a young age, she already walked with brands such as Adrian Alicea, Stevie Boi, Michael Lombard, Yasmine Ings, Saks Fifth Avenue, Black Pyramid by Chris Brown, Banana Moon, Bathhouse Swimwear, D’Milikah Swimwear, HUSH Boutique, Mahriama Onitri, and Anya by Vivien. She has done shoots with some of the best photographers in the industry like HLDN, Kerrianne Meehan New York and also worked with known photographers such as Michael Eric Woodward, James Hurley, Marcus and Dilano Photography, and Hana Gonzalez.

Brooke also has appeared on Fox 5 Good Morning Washington D.C. three times.

Aspirations

To grace the runway and shoot for Balmain, Steve Madden, Victoria’s Secret, Phillip Plein, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Givenchy, Versace, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Chanel, Jovani, Sherri Hill, Christian Cowan, etc.

To eventually sign with Wilhelmina, IMG, Ford, NY Model Management, etc. I also hope to dabble in acting.

Advocacy

Having had an abusive boyfriend in the past, I want to raise awareness of violence during dating and make it a discussion, as it is important to do so. I want to be able to speak out for those who are afraid or can’t speak up for themselves because of fear, rejection, shame, embarrassment or social profile. #nomore  #youmatter

Wish List

To be a strong role model for not only to young women, but also to all women.
