Alexa Sheryll is the current Ms. Spirit of New York. She is part of the USA National Miss family winning the title USA National Miss Empire State 2019 and USA National Miss Role Model 2019. Alexa works as a political consultant and is currently the Campaign Manager for the most competitive State Senate race in New York. Her work in politics inspired her to create her platform Vote Local with Lex, where she raises awareness about the importance of voting in her local elections.

Why did you get involved in pageantry?
I have always loved pageantry since I was a little girl. I thought it was an inspiring platform and a way to feel empowered and confident. I never competed because I didn’t think I looked like a “beauty queen.” I met a friend who did pageants two years ago who convinced me to do one with her. It totally changed my life.
