Jennifer Le Makes History as the First Vietnamese Married Woman to Win Mrs. World Title


Mrs. Vietnam World 2018, Jennifer Le, was crowned as the new Mrs. World 2019 during a prestigious Mrs. World beauty pageant held at the West Gate Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada and making history as the very first Vietnamese married woman to win this title.

Jennifer bested 38 contestants to win the coveted crown during the beauty pageant. While Matapa Maila Rikhotso from South Africa adjudged as the first runner-up and Kokilam Kathirvailu was placed as the second runner-up.


Not only that she won Mrs. World 2019, but Jennifer also awarded Best in National Costume. The costume weighs 77 lbs that's made out of metal, rhinestones, and sequins, inspired by Âu Cơ, the creation myth of the Vietnamese people, an immortal mountain fairy who married Lạc Long Quân ("Dragon Lord of Lac") and bore an egg sac that hatched a hundred children known collectively as Bách Việt, ancestors to the Vietnamese people. Âu Cơ is often honored as the mother of Vietnamese civilization.


Mrs. World is the first and oldest beauty pageant of its kind in the world, founded by David Marmel. He also serves as the President of Mrs. World and Mrs. America organization. Mrs. World started in 1984 and now has national directors in 80 countries.

The contestants competed in 3 categories which included the private interview with a panel of judges, swimsuit and evening gown competition.
