TOP 10 Miss USA 2019 Evening Gown Preliminary Competition

Miss USA 2019 preliminary competition was held on April 29 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino’s Grand Theatre in Reno Tahoe in Nevada, hosted by KOLO Chief Meteorologist Jeff Thompson and Miss USA 2018, Sarah Rose Summers.

Evening gown persuades highly mannered sophistication, how well does the individual carry herself, and the wearer should honestly feed the audience's fairytale dreams.

The final competition will be aired LIVE on FOX on Thursday,  May 2 at 8 pm ET.

TOP 10 Favorites

1. Miss New Mexico - Alejandra Gonzalez. WOW, Miss New Mexico is bringing in the A+ game! Will she be the next Miss USA? Miss New Mexico's mixture of honey and canary yellow gown is giving us the Angelina Jolie vibe. Remember the infamous Angie side-slit legs at the Golden Globes?  Accentuating the piece with an emerald green chandelier earrings is a standout, and the way she presented during the competition screams Miss Universe ready.

2. Miss Virginia - Courtney Lynne Smits. Miss Virginia's exotic beauty and the silver lining, well, her whole ensemble, that is, is impeccable. But seriously, Courtney could bring home the crown after forty-nine years of drought.

3. Miss Arizona - Savannah Wix. This year, Savannah is the one who's screaming Old Hollywood Glamour. Her red wine trumpet gown and thigh-high slit complemented her hourglass figure.

4. Miss Illinois - Alexandra Plotz. Miss Illinois' high-slit, flowy navy blue satin gown is a little bit on the conventional side. Although, she wore it perfectly and her train added a wow factor.

5. Miss Hawaii - Lacie Choy. Miss Hawaii's jeweled evening gown in moth gray - a shade of white color gown - is one of the best evening gowns during the Prelims. Lacey came out to win.

6. Miss Connecticut - Acacia Courtney. Miss Connecticut's dark cobalt blue column evening gown and slightly see trough is very sleek and sexy. She could smoothly bag the Miss USA crown like her sister queen, the newly crowned Miss Teen USA!

7. Miss Texas - Alayah Benavidez. Miss Texas is the one to watch out for. She's the one who knows how to win the crown and the darling of social media. Alayah's raspberry Grecian evening gown resembles the gown she wore when she was crowned Miss United States 2016.

8. Miss Ohio - Alice Magoto. Something old, something new, something renewed. Miss Ohio enlightens the Miss USA stage during the evening gown preliminary competition by bringing in the 15th century. Her sheer floral beaded and floor-touching sleeves with glittering sheath bodice evening gown is a Bollywood fashion trend in 2018. This trend is a modernized houppelande from the middle ages, but it was lined with fur and was used as an outerwear. Miss Ohio is this year's trendsetter.

9. Miss Maryland - Mariela Pepin. Miss Maryland's canary yellow, fitted column evening dress is not something that everyone could pull off, but she did it effortlessly in her perfect statuesque. If Mariela wins Miss USA and sends her to compete at Miss Universe the following day, she won't disappoint.

10. Miss Mississippi - Madeleine Overby. The dark horse. Miss Mississippi's gown of choice is sexy, classic and it was the most romantic evening gown at Miss USA stage. Miss Mississippi radiates confidently beautiful, and she might surprise everyone on the Finals.
